The NPA is issuing this statement because it is becoming increasingly concerned that patients' health may be put at undue risk by interruptions in the supply of oxygen during the handover period before community pharmacy contractors are excluded from the oxygen supply arrangements. Until this handover, NPA members have a legal obligation to supply oxygen but are operating in an environment of uncertainty and in many cases at a loss.
